Aberdeen came back from a goal down to defeat Peterhead 3-1 in a supposedly closed-door friendly at Balmoor Stadium where a fair few fans braved the cold to witness the game. Steven Craig came through 85 minutes unscathed after injury, and has put himself into contention for inclusion in Saturday's squad for the game against Dundee United with a spectacular goal.

After a scoreless opening period, the Peterhead took the lead after an hour through former Dons striker Scott Michie. With thirteen minutes remaining, comeback man Steven Craig made it 1-1 when he performed an outrageous bicycle kick from a Bagshaw cross. In 79 minutes Bagshaw was involved again when his cross arrived at the deadly John Stewart who made no mistake with a low shot. Young sub Ashley McInnes put the game beyond the home side in the 83rd minute when a corner was only half cleared and the youngster made it 3-1 to Aberdeen.

While the result flattered Aberdeen, this had all the hallmarks of a friendly, which is fair enough considering the bounce match was quickly organised to aid fitness and comeback from injury.

Aberdeen :- Esson, Thomson, Donald, Tiernan, Buckley, O'Leary, Stewart (Kiely 81), Adams (McInnes 81), Pasquinelli (Bagshaw 70), Craig (Shields 85), Muirhead (Bruce 85). Subs not used: Blanchard.
