Saturday's Tou Soon

SUMMER signing Karim Touzani will sit out of Aberdeen's clash with Motherwell this Saturday despite returning to training this week.

The cultured defender has been out for ten weeks after impressing in his first few games at the club.

Steve Lovell returned from a long lay-off with a bang on Monday night, and it is likely that Touzani will, like Lovell, have to come off the bench if he is to see action this weekend.

Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood said: "Touzani was back training with the boys [on Thursday] and he did well.

"We will see how he feels [on Friday] and make a decision then about whether he will be in the squad for Saturday or not."

Lovell will hope to be in the starting line-up on Saturday after his goalscoring return this week, and another boost for the Dons is the news that Well's irritating Aussie flech Scott McDonald is missing through injury.
