Tennent's Scottish Cup Quarter Final Draw

Last updated : 08 February 2005 By Stand Free Ed
Aberdeen will face two trips to Tannadice in four days as the Scottish Cup Gods decided to pair the so-called 'New Firm' together in the quarter final. The tie is set to take place on Saturday the 26th of February, but the tie of the round could yet be switched to Sunday the 27th of February for live television coverage - a mere two days before the Dons league encounter with the Arabs.

Surely this would be the ideal opportunity for Sky to show the game on the evening of Friday the 25th of February. The Friday night slot was apparently kept aside for live Scottish Cup fixtures in Sky's heavy schedule, but there has yet to be a game transmitted then. However, given Sky's history of televising Scottish games, it is assumed that the cameras will follow Celtic to either Broadwood or Dingwall.

The full draw is:

Ross County/Clyde v Celtic
Hearts/Kilmarnock v Livingston
Dundee Utd v Aberdeen
Hibernian v St Mirren
