Fergie presided over the most successful era in Aberdeen's history, which saw the Dons dominating football domestically and scoop a pair of European trophies; the only Scottish club to achieve the feat.
DST board member Mark Hay presented Fergie with his award shortly before the Neil Simpson Benefit Match against Sir Alex's Man Utd side.
Fergie is the sixth recipient of the DONS award, following all-time top scorer Joey Harper, multiple trophy-winning captain Willie Miller, club legend Teddy Scott, AFC superfan Norman Goldie and Gothenburg Great Neil Simpson.
