nikkiwrightAfter a goal-less first half Caroline Heron gave her side the lead before a double from Nickki Wright (pictured) and an effort from Christy Grimshaw set the Dons on the path to victory.

Heron then reduced the deficit for Forfar however it wasn't enough to prevent the girls from the Granite City taking the spoils.

Aberdeen's goal hero, Wright, commented: "The result was massive for team and keeps us in the hunt for a top six place which we appreciate will be tough to achieve this season.

"Obviously, I'm pleased with my own contribution as it always nice to get on the scoresheet, however this was a really great team performance.

"Christy Grimshaw was absolutely brilliant for us and I would say she was player of the match.

"Now, we need to push on from here. Although we are a relatively young squad, we see a lot of potential and we believe in our ability."

The Dons Ladies are currently fifth in the SWPL table after seven games, level on points with Celtic and nine points behind runaway leaders Glasgow City.
